When you enter the land YHWH your Elohim is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Deuteronomy 18:9-11

Basically, what could be the phenomenon that interferes today in a Christian family and that leads parents without knowing it to sacrify their children in the fire, to push them towards diviners, witches, spiritism and any other form of modern occultism?

The answer is simply our indulgence: “Isn’t it hard enough for a Christian child to have to live among the children of the world? Couldn’t he also own a smartphone, use the Internet, play stupid and violent games, watch all kinds of cartoons and other occult and stupid films like his mates? »

My own children have walked out of guard rooms in Christian churches during worship, saying they don’t want to stay there because everyone is playing with their phones and they do not want to get involved in that. A little strictness and perseverance meant that my children never developed an attraction towards the different forms of aberrations of our contemporary world. Provided of course that the parents are guided from within by the Spirit of Christ and not prohibit these things in an automatic and religious way by applying the law to the letter. In addition, it is also useful from time to time to show our children what they are “missing out”. In other words, give them a little glimpse of what they are deprived of so that they realize themselves that they are not missing anything in reality, on the contrary. But before that, we must always offer them much more substantial and constructive alternatives: good television programs, good cartoons and above all preaching them the Gospel from an early age. Instead of owning a television, a computer is enough. There you can select what is worthy to be seen and what is not. If they absolutely need a phone so that they can be reached, traditional models without touch screens and internet are still available on the market and are also cheaper.

For Christians who forbid little or nothing to their children, the result is that these, although they know Jesus, end up finding themselves in a much more unhealthy spiritual state compared to their worldly comrades . The latter, in fact, have no counterexample to what they’re in. Thus for them these things seems natural. Christian children, on the other hand, are able to feel that there is a contradiction and do suffer much greater remorse and a deep problem of conscience arises. As a result of that, Christian children fall prey to various demonic possessions, depression, self-harm and other mental illnesses.

By their excess of indulgence, many Christians are throwing their children on fire without realizing it and are then astonished that the forces of evil are consuming them.

School is also a deeply contagious environment, where a child can only remain pure of what happens by being under the protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit through its parents. It would be good to see more Christian schools of renewed and living faith, or at least to have more opportunities for home schooling having specific programs. So far this kind of idea may have seemed quite fundamentalist, but look around us, the world is falling appart so fast that it has become a necessity today.

The problem could be solved if the structure of our christian communities as well as their functioning were perfectly identical to those described in the Acts of the Apostles. If all our assets were common, we would be close to each other and the education of our children could be done within the community itself.
